Catholic Social Teaching

Catholic Social Teaching is rooted in the belief that God has a purpose for all of creation—a plan to build a world filled with peace, love, and justice. It teaches that God has a unique plan for each of us, no matter who we are. This calling isn’t limited to spiritual or religious practices; it touches every part of our lives. Whether in prayer or in the way we act as responsible members of the global community, we are called to live out our faith. It is our collective mission to work for the common good and to treat every person as a brother or sister.
At St Augustine’s, Catholic Social Teaching means living out our school mission statement ‘Following in the footsteps of Jesus to serve others’.

Catholic Social Teaching Principles
We have nine principles of Catholic Social teaching that we share with our children through all that we do, the curriculum, special events, assemblies and through our ordinary actions in school.
