St Augustine's Live Simply journey (CAFOD)
Global Action 1 - CAFOD World Gifts - Living in Solidarity
'For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.' Matthew 25:35-37
Year 6 led efforts to fundraise for CAFOD World Gifts as their chosen Covenant with the Poor.
They invited families, governors and parishioners to support and participate in our fundraising efforts.
Local Action 1 - Gather in Prayer - Live Simply
"For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." - Matthew 18:20
Pupils will invite parents/parishioners and the local community to share time with us in prayer in our school.
Inviting the community to join in prayer encourages a simple but powerful act of unity and compassion, reflecting our faith in action.
Local Action 3 - We will support our local foodbank - Living in Solidarity
Matthew 25:35-36: "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was in prison and you visited me"
Harvest Foodbank collection - October 2025
Faith teaches us to see Christ in those who are hungry or in need, calling us to serve others with compassion and justice.
